The purpose of the seminar is to discuss recent results in collisions of heavy
nuclei at ultra-relativistic energies or related theoretical topics,
triggered by the experimental results at
the CERN Large Hadron Collider and
the Brookhaven Relativistic Heavy Ion
Collider. Summer 2015 (eKVV)
Winter 2013-14 (eKVV)
Summer 2013 Initial state and the first fm/c of heavy-ion collisions (eKVV)
Winter 2012 Collective observables and their fluctuations (eKVV)
Summer 2012 Relativistic dissipative fluid dynamics (eKVV)
Einführendes Seminar zur Schwerionenphysik (eKVV)
Winter 2011 First experimental results from Pb-Pb collisions at the LHC (eKVV) In November 2010, lead ions collided for the first time at the LHC. We shall devote the seminar to examining the results, starting from the experimental findings and discussing their physical interpretations and/or implications.
